The DNA is a brand-new twintip in the Slingshot line for 2027, and it’s the one that will suit most riders best. Stiff underfoot for drive and pop, softer through the tips so chop and heavy landings don’t punish you. High-performance feel without the demanding edge that puts people off a full freestyle board.

What does the DNA feel like?

Lively but approachable. You get a solid, responsive platform through the middle of the board good edge hold, clean energy return, proper drive upwind and then noticeably more give at the tips. The practical effect is that you can push hard on it without every mistake being punished, which is what makes it such a good all-round board.

Think of it as the sensible middle. The Formula V5 is the premium carbon freeride option, the Era V2 is the aggressive big air weapon, and the DNA sits between them more versatile than either, and the most forgiving of the three. It’s also the most affordable, which makes it the obvious pick if you’re buying one board to cover everything.

Sizing

Available 133, 137, 141 and 145 cm. Size on rider weight and typical wind strength bigger boards get going earlier and feel more stable in light wind, smaller ones feel quicker and more playful. Ring us if you want a recommendation for your weight and home spot.
