A replacement adhesive valve base for Cabrinha Airlock 2 and Slingshot In/Out valves, on the oversized 120mm XL Tear Aid pad. If the base around your inflate valve has torn, perished or started lifting, this is the fix you keep your existing valve and bond a fresh base around it.

What’s in the pack?

  • XL adhesive valve base, 120mm Tear Aid Type A, die-cut, with a TPU protection layer
  • Hard Mini Boston velcro ring pre-installed, so the valve cap seats and holds properly
  • Two alcohol prep pads for degreasing the canopy before you bond

Does it include the valve itself?

No and that’s deliberate. This is supplied without the Airlock 2 / Slingshot In/Out valve cap, because most people replacing a base already have a perfectly good valve. You reuse yours. If your valve itself is cracked or the threads are stripped, you’ll need a valve as well give us a ring and we’ll sort one.

What does it fit?

  • Cabrinha kites using the Airlock 2 valve
  • Slingshot same valve, different badge

The original Airlock 2 valve is discontinued by Cabrinha, and the Universal Mini Boston valve is the accepted swap it’s fully interchangeable and seats in this same base.

Why the XL base?

At 120mm it gives well over twice the bonded area of a standard 78mm pad. On a bladder that flexes and gets dragged across sand, that extra margin is the difference between a repair that lasts a season and one that lifts at the edge on the third session.

Rider verdict

Valve bases fail far more often than valves do, and a lot of riders bin a serviceable bladder over it. Degrease properly with the pads supplied, let it sit under weight overnight and it’ll outlast the rest of the kite. Fiddly the first time, straightforward every time after.
