2025 F-One Bandit Tec Kiteboarding Kite

Freeride Big Air Kite Foil Strapless Freestyle CODE-TEC

2025 F-ONE BANDIT TEC Kiteboarding Kite

A responsive all-condition kite with precise handling, powerful vertical boost and efficient upwind performance across freeride, foil, waves and strapless riding.

The 2025 F-ONE BANDIT TEC is built for riders who want one kite to cover almost every session. Its CODE-TEC leading edge and struts create a low-stretch, structurally stable airframe that gives the BANDIT a sharper response and more precise steering while maintaining the controllable, versatile character of the model.

In strong wind, the BANDIT TEC moves toward the edge of the wind window and converts power into forward drive with less side pull. In lighter wind, it provides steady support through the harness and maintains a light bar feel. Send it for a jump and the kite produces powerful vertical boost, responsive loops and balanced traction for smooth landings.

Why Choose This Kite?

Choose the BANDIT TEC if you want one high-performance kite for everyday freeride without committing your entire quiver to one specialized discipline. It provides the precision and responsiveness needed for jumps and loops while retaining the low-end support, upwind drive and controllable power required for comfortable cruising, kite foiling and directional-board riding.

Unlike a dedicated Big Air kite, the BANDIT TEC is not limited to powered twintip sessions. Unlike a dedicated wave kite, it still offers strong vertical boost and loop performance. Its broad range of sizes and balanced F-ONE program ratings make it the all-round choice between the more specialized TRIGGER TEC, ADDIKT TEC and BREEZE models.

Windance recommendation: Select the BANDIT TEC if freeride versatility is your first priority but you also want to jump, loop, foil and ride waves. Choose the TRIGGER TEC if maximum height and hangtime are more important than versatility. Choose the ADDIKT TEC if wave riding, immediate depower and drift are your priorities. Choose the BREEZE if your sessions focus primarily on kite foiling and very light wind.

What Does TEC Mean?

TEC is part of F-ONEs official model name and identifies the BANDIT construction built around the companys CODE-TEC airframe material. It does not mean ALUULA, and F-ONE does not use the Pro, Ultra or NXT labels for this kite.

CODE-TEC Construction

CODE-TEC uses a double-beam matrix ripstop pattern, high-tenacity fibers and a proprietary immersion coating. F-ONE specifies low stretch, high tear strength and UV resistance.

Not ALUULA

ALUULA does not appear in F-ONEs official BANDIT TEC material list. The leading edge and struts use CODE-TEC, while the canopy uses TECHNOFORCE polyester.

TEC Is Model-Specific

F-ONE uses different airframe materials across its TEC products. The BANDIT TEC uses CODE-TEC, while models such as the later TRIGGER TEC and BREEZE TEC use DLE 140. The TEC name should not be treated as one universal material.

Brainchild Is Different

The BANDIT Brainchild V1 is a separate limited-edition construction using extra-light materials and PROWELD welded leading-edge segments. The BANDIT TEC is not a Brainchild-built kite.

BANDIT XVI vs BANDIT TEC vs Brainchild

BANDIT XVI

The earlier BANDIT uses TECHNOFORCE canopy construction, Staggered Seams and a Spider Bridle. It does not include the newer CODE-TEC material introduced with the BANDIT TEC.

BANDIT TEC

Adds CODE-TEC throughout the leading edge and struts, updated bridles and friction pulleys, refined reinforcement and a new one-pump system. Its official range expands to eight sizes from 614m.

BANDIT Brainchild V1

Uses Brainchilds extra-light materials, digital printing and PROWELD construction. F-ONE emphasizes its lighter, more precise bar feel, reduced high-wind traction, floaty hangtime and kite-loop handling.

Which BANDIT Should You Choose?

Choose the BANDIT TEC for CODE-TEC construction and the complete 614m size range. Choose the limited-edition Brainchild V1 for its specialized welded construction and explicitly hangtime-focused feel. Choose an earlier BANDIT if value matters more than the latest airframe and bridle updates.

TEC does not automatically mean a lower published kite weight in every size. F-ONEs weight tables should be used instead of assuming that every TEC size is lighter than every earlier BANDIT.

How the BANDIT TEC Rides

Precise, Responsive Steering

The increased structural stiffness of CODE-TEC reduces airframe deformation under load. This gives the kite a crisper response and more precise handling during redirection, takeoff and kite loops.

Powerful Vertical Boost

Stable support through the harness and responsive steering help riders time takeoffs accurately. F-ONE describes the resulting boost as powerful and vertical, with impressive amplitude and height.

Controlled Kite Loops

Responsive handling makes loops easier to initiate and control. Balanced traction helps the rider maintain control through the turn and complete smoother landings.

Strong-Wind Forward Drive

In stronger wind, the kite moves toward the edge of the window and maintains constant forward traction without excessive side pull. This reduces the amount of edging required for upwind riding.

Supportive Low End

At the lower end of its range, the BANDIT TEC distributes support across the harness and riders back. This reduces strain on the arms and creates a steady, comfortable pull.

All-Condition Control

F-ONE positions the BANDIT TEC for all disciplines, conditions and rider levels. Its combination of forward drive, responsive steering and controllable bar support makes it suitable for changing session demands.

Turning, Bar Pressure, Depower, Relaunch and Drift

• Turning response: Precise and reactive, with CODE-TEC reducing deformation for a sharper steering feel.
• Bar pressure: Light while retaining enough support to communicate the kites movement without requiring excessive effort.
• Bar-pressure tuning: F-ONE provides two back-line settings for steering response and bar pressure.
• Higher-tension setting: Increases maneuverability and reduces bar pressure.
• Lower-tension setting: Reduces maneuverability and increases bar pressure.
• Depower: The Delta C-Shape is designed to maintain stability and steering response while fully depowered.
• Strong-wind control: The kite moves forward toward the edge of the wind window, reducing lateral pull while maintaining drive.
• Relaunch: F-ONEs Delta C-Shape and Delta Pivot help the kite roll onto a wingtip and move toward the edge of the window for quick relaunch.
• Drift: F-ONE lists wave riding among the BANDIT TECs disciplines but does not make a specific drift claim. Choose the ADDIKT TEC when dedicated drift performance is essential.
• Boosting: Powerful vertical takeoff with responsive redirection and controlled loops.
• Hangtime: F-ONE does not publish a BANDIT TEC hangtime rating or specific hangtime claim. The TRIGGER TEC and BANDIT Brainchild V1 carry F-ONEs explicit hangtime positioning.
• Wind range: Eight sizes span an official 8-knot low end in the 14m through a 30-knot-and-above range in the 6m.

Construction and Technology

CODE-TEC Airframe

CODE-TEC is used throughout the leading edge and struts. Its low-stretch structure increases airframe stiffness and reduces deformation under load for more precise handling.

TECHNOFORCE 52 Canopy

The main canopy in every size uses TECHNOFORCE 52 polyester to balance lightness with F-ONEs required durability and profile control.

TECHNOFORCE 66 Trailing Edge

A stronger 66g double-ripstop panel reinforces the trailing edge and provides increased resistance to elongation in this higher-load area.

Staggered Seams

Staggered canopy seams break up rigid seam-tension lines, helping distribute load over a wider area and preserve a clean profile under power.

Kevlar Strut Reinforcement

F-ONE removed the reinforcement from the central strut and made the remaining strut reinforcements completely from Kevlar to reduce weight and aerodynamic disturbance.

Kevlar Leading-Edge Protection

Abrasion-resistant Kevlar protects most leading-edge seams from damage caused by contact with rough ground surfaces.

Spider Bridle

The multi-point Spider Bridle controls the kites arc and supports stability across changing wind conditions.

Updated Bridle Lines

Smaller-diameter bridle lines reduce drag and elongation for a more direct feel. The main V and small V sections are removable to simplify repair.

Friction Pulleys

F-ONEs updated pulleys are lighter, stress-resistant and designed to reduce line abrasion while maintaining smooth bridle movement.

New One-Pump System

The revised one-pump system is designed for faster inflation and easier deflation, reducing setup and packing time.

Verified Strut Information

F-ONEs official written specifications reference the central strut, the remaining struts and CODE-TEC material throughout the struts, but they do not publish a numerical strut count for the BANDIT TEC. No numerical count has been added from retailer descriptions or visual inference.

This differs from the TRIGGER TEC, whose official F-ONE page specifically identifies a five-strut frame. Strut counts should only be included when F-ONE publishes them for the individual model.
